Medical Dosimetrist – .8 FTE (Benefit-Eligible)
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a part-time .8 FTE Medical Dosimetrist based at our Mercy Radiation Therapy Center in Coon Rapids and covering our Unity Radiation Therapy Center in Fridley as well. This position will typically work 3 days per week at Mercy and 1 day per week at Unity, with the ability to flex up to working all 5 days if needed and/or switch locations if needed.
The Dosimetrist plans a treatment technique to deliver a prescribed dose of radiation to a defined tumor volume. This position will assist Radiation Therapists, help coordinate treatment simulations and tumor localizations including CT and MRIs when indicated for planning and provide technical assistance to the Physicist and other clinic staff. Board Certified Medical Dosimetrist or Board Eligibility required. Prefer one year of practical experience in clinical medical dosimetry or on-the-job training. Experience with Eclipse Treatment Planning System strongly preferred.
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a a full-time Medical Coder based at our Business Office in Edina and covering several clinics in the Twin Cities metro area on-site at their locations. Hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Duties include reviewing patient charts to extract accurate codes for the medical billing process, reporting missing or incomplete documentation, traveling to various clinics to build professional relationships with clinic staff, reviewing documents, ensuring compliance.
Previous medical coding experience is given first consideration or minimum 3 years of related medical billing experience preferred. Solid knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes. Ability to become a Certified Radiation Oncology Coder.
Registered Nurse – (RN) – .8 FTE (Benefit-Eligible)
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a part-time .8 FTE Registered Nurse (RN) based in the Radiation Therapy Department at Fairview Southdale in Edina or Ridges Radiation Therapy Department at Fairview in Burnsville. This float position provides RN coverage for clinics in Edina, Robbinsdale, Shakopee, St. Paul and Burnsville primarily. Daytime hours, Monday-Friday, .8 FTE with the ability to flex up if needed.
Duties include direct patient care, patient education and support. Minimum 3 years of experience preferred. Previous experience in oncology, med surg or patient education preferred. Strong computer skills and significant EMR experience is also desirable. Excellent communication skills required.
Radiation Therapist – RT(T) – Casual Float
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a Casual Float Radiation Therapist. This Float RT(T) will cover up to 8 Clinics in the Twin Cities. Base clinic will be determined based on business needs at the time of hire. Mileage reimbursement provided while covering other clinics. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a solid company!
Casual coverage only with no guaranteed hours at this point. Must be willing to work flexible hours based on scheduling needs, last minute adjustments and willing to flex up to coverage full week schedules occasionally. ARRT Certification or board eligibility required.
Medical Secretary – .7 FTE (Benefit-Eligible)
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a a part-time Medical Secretary in our busy St. Paul Radiation Therapy Department located at Regions Hospital. Regular hours will be approximately 7:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for benefits! Ability to work until 4:00 pm occasionally will be required to cover vacations for the full-time Secretary.
Duties include greeting and registering patients, appointment scheduling, patient chart prep and answering phones. Strong computer and communication skills required; previous hospital/clinic experience strongly preferred. EPIC software experience strongly preferred.
Medical Billing Specialist
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a a full-time Medical Biller / Insurance Specialist based at our Business Office in Edina. Hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Duties include verifying insurance coverages, performing patient registrations, accurately entering billing data and submitting claims, answering patient phone calls and assisting with account issues, resolving billing issues with insurance carriers and re-submitting claims as needed. Minimum of 1 year previous medical billing experience or education required; 3 years experience preferred. Allscripts experience is a plus. Must be organized with strong attention to detail, able to multi-task, work independently and contribute as a positive team player as well.
