Job Description

Minneapolis Radiation Oncology has an opening for a full-time Help Desk Technician at our Business Office in Edina. This entry level position will provide first tier technical support to end users within the clinics across the Twin Cities Metro and Business Office in Edina. Flexibility to occasionally travel to different locations is required. This position will mostly work daytime hours, Monday-Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with some availability required on weekends as projects occur.

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first contact in the IT Department for end users within the business office and off-site clinic locations and escalate issues to other IT members as necessary
  • Provide support on desktop and laptop computers, tablets, smart phones, printers, networks, VOIP phone systems, etc
  • Continuously update end user documentation, service ticket requests and training materials
  • Comply with company policies, HIPAA privacy and security, state, federal and local regulations when working within the network
  • Assist members of the IT Department in various projects

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree and/or previous work experience in an IT help desk support role
  • Excellent customer service and professional communication required
  • Desire to learn and support EMR software
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2016 and Office 365 applications/services and Windows 10
  • Patience in working with internal end users
  • Open to communicate with and learn and train from co-workers
  • This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills to provide efficient phone or in person support
